Using the Reports
Critical to the Watershed Reports is the recognition of the community in the water sector and the importance of that community for growth, innovation and resilience. The Reports were only possible due to the contributions of hundreds of scientists, citizens and organizations. From a broader scale, with the support of DataStream, the Living Data Project and AquaAction, to the individuals who made up the community-based water science in each watershed, the release of these Watershed Reports relied on a community of peers. Thank you for being a part of it.
Following the release, we would love it if you could help us spread the word and continue to engage with us. Some recommended actions are:
- Follow us and share on LinkedIn and tell us about what you learned about your local watershed from the Reports.
- Send us your thoughts! We’ve been receiving some incredible feedback, and we want to utilize it and showcase it on our website.
- Have you referenced the Watershed Reports in your publicity or website? Let us know so we can share.
Check out what Jim Young, Chief Data Officer at the Canada Water Agency, had to say:
“The connection between trusted quality data and the upcoming 2025 Watershed Reports are more important than ever before.”
And what Linda Campbell, Professor at St. Mary’s University, wrote:
“Without data, we cannot model water safety, forecast changes in watersheds and ensure we have a reliable system of freshwater for peoples living in Canada. Thank you.”
Upcoming events
